Tubes
Bronchoscopy tubes are available in sizes 9 to 14. They are colour-coded and have a clear size marking. An additional blue ring indicates a short tube length (tracheoscope).
The scale on the tubes – even on one side and odd on the other – simplifies the measurement of stenoses.
A marker at the tip of the tube helps to identify the long end (after rotation).
The short tracheoscopy tube (size 14) can be employed for intubation. Smaller bronchoscopy tubes (size 12 and smaller) can be inserted through the tracheoscope without re-intubation.
The optimal relationship between the inner and outer diameters ensures an optimised gas exchange.
The proximal end of the tube is equipped with a conical ISO connector to directly connect a ventilation hose.
